Apparently, abortion clinics are not medical clinics after all.

The debate surrounding Gosnell's abortion/massacre trial has taken another interesting turn. Pro-choice advocates have found a way to try and turn the tragedy back on the pro-life camp. They say that too many regulations and restrictions are to blame for Gosnell's charnel, "House of Horrors."

The statement is so ludicrous that at first it seemed laughable to me, just some far left lobbyist grasping at straws. But look how it has caught, like wildfire it spreads, consuming the message posts and confusing the rhetoric of news station after news station.

But these assertions, like any defense of late term abortions, offend the senses and sensibility.

To maintain that the conditions found at Gosnells clinic and others is the fault of over-regulation is like saying that background checks for gun purchases are the cause of massacres.

If abortion clinics really are medical facilities, instead of the death-houses that have been uncovered again and again, why would they be afraid of regular check-ups? If they truly are safe, and not just legal, then there should be nothing to hide. These reviews of operations are not an undue burden, they are the same processes used to evaluate the safet of any medical facility.

But they will say that these restrictions, (like requiring abortion clinics to maintain the same standards of sanitation and safety as other outpatient surgical facilities) lever an undue burden upon these caring doctors, who don't have enough money to support their businesses, which are likened in the rhetoric to charitable organizations, as if Gosnell and others hadn't gotten rich on the cash they charge their clients. (Gosnell had over $200,000 in cash at his house, stashed up from illegal operations. Over the years, he took millions from the impoverished women he claimed to serve.)

Look, not to state the obvious or anything, but if you can't afford to run a legitimate medical facility, then you have no business running that facility in the first place. Either reform your business model or leave. A long-standing clinic in Virginia has apparently taken my advice. http://www.nationalreview.com/human-exceptionalism/346283/va-abortion-clinic-closes.

Do not pretend to me that you care about women's rights so badly that you're willing to put them in danger to provide services they pay you for in cash. How stupid do they think the american people are? What concerns me about the farce is how far it has spread, and how many people are necessarily reading this ludicrous argument. MSM had even chalked it up to a "debate" there is no debate on this point. Regulatory lapses allowed Gosnell's rampage to continue unabated for decades. It is now the time for regulation to have its say, and let these "clinics" own up to what they've been doing in the shadows for so long.

Gosnell: Tip of the Iceberg in abortion coverup

The case of Kermit Gosnell has finally garnered the attention it deserves. I won't belabour it further here. For wonderful synopsi of the case, look to Kirsten Powers of USA Today on the media coverup of the horror. Check this article from pro-choice daily beast journalist Megan McArdle to hear an honest confession of that coverup. http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2013/04/12/why-the-mainstream-media-is-not-covering-the-gosnell-abortion-trial.html, and search the Grand Jury report of Gosnell's crimes to get the details of a criminal enterprise so sickening that grand jury investigators literally threw up when they entered that "House of Horrors" to investigate. Not since the extermination of the Jews, and the genocides in Rwanda and Darfur has a "civilized" nation borne witness to such institutionalized brutality.

I will not repeat the evil that Kermit Gosnell and his staff committed. The only point that I would like to see better clarified in this whole circus is the closing of several abortion clinics within the umbrella of greater Philadelphia and the surrounding region after the media blackout of the Gosnell trial was lifted. 2 clinics of "Abortion as an Alternative, Inc." Have been permanently closed after investigators probed into their operations in light of the Gosnell trial.

Check that, the veil has been lifted all over the country. In Illinois, where abortion clinics have worked unchecked for 15 years, investigations following the Gosnell trial's break into the light of day have found conditions eerily similar to Gosnell. Conditions that the Illinois state health department said "threaten the public interest, health, safety and welfare" http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/opinion/ct-oped-0423-byrne-20130423,0,4363217.column 2 of the state's 9 abortion clinics have been "temporarily closed" for conditions so deplorable that they represent a direct threat to the public. As the article points out, 2 out of 9 constitutes 22% of abortion clinics in the state.

At Planned Parenthood, two registered nurses recently quit, saying that they were scared to be implicated in the criminal activity that routinely took place at these "women's health" centers. One of these RNs had this to say about her former employer. “It was just unsafe. I can’t tell you how ridiculously unsafe it was,” said Mitchell-Werbrich. “Planned Parenthood needs to close its doors, it needs to be cleaned up," http://www.operationrescue.org/archives/planned-parenthood-workers-tell-of-gosnell-like-conditions-at-clinic-that-injured-women/

So what, they will say. These two nurses had a bad experience. The doctors and nurses and administrators responsible were fired, they will say. Planned Parenthood decried the practices, they will say. Bullshit, say I. Operation Rescue volunteers have been monitoring this particular clinic for years. In just the past month, they have caught on video tape the emergency removal of patients from the premises, in ambulances, to emergency facilities. They have been raising hell trying to get that clinic investigated, but until now authorities have dismissed their cries, along with those of the poor women who are being traumatized and disfigured in the name of their "rights" How about the right to be treated with some Goddamn respect?

This is not a rare occurance. It is not isolated to the Gosnell case. There is an epidemic of bloody and cold abuses of human life and dignity that literally spans decades. Women and children are submitted to inhuman conditions, all in the name of protecting their "rights". And what rights are those? The right to be abused, preyed upon and neglected for profit? The right to be maimed, abandoned, denied medical treatment while they lie on bloody death beds where their children are artifically delivered into a living hell?

Let's stop pretending. Let's clean this industry up and hold them all accountable for their crimes.
